The out-of-the-void metal of Windhand will be digging through Europe starting in April 2014 with help from fellow Relapse artists Inter Arma and Indian, with a stop at the mighty Roadburn Festival in The Netherlands on 12 April 2014.

From Richmond, Virginia, Windhand are still touring after the September 2013 release of their LP titled Soma, available on Relapse Records. Soma is drenched, hazy, a slow saturated psych-doom sound based more on some Melvins sludge than that of a usual comparison to say, Black Sabbath or Sleep, with vocalist Dorthia Cottrell lifting the wholeness to a unique, far away level, sounding like she’s singing from the depths of the universe.

Drummer Ryan Wolfe comments: “We met some cool folks on our previous tour and looking forward to catching up with them. Plus playing with Inter Arma for a few weeks will be easy on my ears.”
