Put the kids to bed, make sure your boss isn’t looking over your shoulder and hide any sharp objects – born losers Shining have filmed a video for the track ‘Fortvivlan, Min Arvedel’, taken from their new album VII/Fodd Forlorare. In true self-destructive Kvarforth fashion, be prepared for close-up activities involving razorblades and drug paraphernalia, so those who are easily offended may wish to fuck off right about now.
Main-man Niklas Kvarforth comments; “We know we are going to get heavily criticized for some of the scenes, but it’s nothing more than you will see as soon as you switch on a television or watch a movie, or walk down a city street. But we’re Shining and it’s always open season on Shining when it comes to people who have neither understood, nor taken the time to try and understand, where the band is coming from”.
The band have also announced the release of their first ever single, which includes ‘Fortvivlan, Min Arvedel’ and a cover of Alice Cooper song, ‘Prince Of Darkness’. Sorry fan-boys and girls, the release is currently only available in Sweden though may eventually be released elsewhere in a different version…so watch out Ke$ha and Black Eyed Peas!
