Steve Tucker, formerly the bassist/vocalist of Morbid Angel, has announced the signing of his newest band, Warfather, to Greyhaze Records. Currently, Warfather is in the working process of tracking their debut album, also produced by Tucker. If you’re curious on what you can expect from Warfather, Tucker simply states “This is my new band; it will be my main focus…. it is my kind of death metal.”
Warfather features Tucker, this time handling the guitar duties along side Armatura, previously of the death metal band Dominion. Rounding out the line-up is Nick McMaster (Krallice, Nader Sadek) on bass and Deimos (Temple) on drums. The as-yet-unnamed debut album from Warfather is slated for a fall 2012 release, followed up by a complete tour.
Steve Tucker is best known for his work with Morbid Angel on the albums “Formulas Fatal to the Flesh,” “Gateways to Annihilation,” and “Heretic” before original bassist/vocalist David Vincent returned to the group in 2004. Tucker is also no stranger to production, having produced Nader Sadek’s 2011 release “In the Flesh” as well as providing vocals. Further details on the album, including artwork, are to be unveiled soon.
