Sweden’s epic doom metal sensation VOID MOON have completed the recording session for their debut album “On the Blackest of Nights”, which is due out November 2nd via Italy’s Cruz Del Sur Music. The band reportedly draw inspiration and strength from the old gods of Black Sabbath and Candlemass empowered by torchbearers like Solitude Aeturnus and contemporary bands like Hammers of Misfortune and Grand Magus, the lyrical themes surrounding Crowley’s teachings, horror stories, death and philosophy.
Bassist Peter Svensson told ZT the band are very pleased with signing with Cruz del Sur: “It’s a great underground label and home of some of our favorite metal bands like Slough Feg and Argus. The album is recorded and we are currently mixing it. The album will be really good, we have all reached another level in terms of performance and I think the new songs are among the best Void Moon-songs. Our music is not for everybody but with a label like Cruz del Sur we are sure to reach out to that percentage of people who really will understand and appreciate it”.
“On the Blackest of Nights” will be available on a limited digipack edition, vinyl, regular jewel case and digital.
