We’re enjoying the new split release on This Charming Man Records from Holland’s Distillator and Germany’s Space Chaser – so in the first of two premieres today, we’re sharing the official video for Distillator’s track, ‘Perceiving Presence’. Check out their killer speed metal and try not to feel to nostalgic for the ‘good old days’ while doing so… We’ll be following this up with a Space Chaser track later today – so be sure to check that one out as well.
The band commented: “Distillator is back! After months of hard labour, sweat and aggression, we have recorded a split album that contains our most precious crown jewels. We have made this video, because it’s one of the best Distillator songs to date and deserves full attention.”
“The addition of a mellotron as fourth instrument, combined with progressive and technical vibes, has created a perfect blend of aggression and melody. Our thanks go out to Maurice Swinkels (Legion Of The Damned), Jarno Hams (six times strongest man of The Netherlands), Jane Zijlstra and Dennis Kost.” Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to question this thanks list (though Hams apparently won the accolade of strongest man of The Netherlands seven times – ahem), but it looks as though it might well require further investigation… as do the band, going on this track at least!
