Behold Venomous Maximus! These Doom rockers straight out of Houston, Texas, proudly present their latest music video: ‘Path of Doom.’
WATCH THE VIDEO and get ready for a heavy metal mix of hard rock hell, and a vague feeling you might have just left the twilight zone. After all, according to guitarist/vocalist, Gregg Higgins you should all know that, “Aliens are real because we are all aliens. The Bermuda triangle is where Atlantis used to be, and we have all lived as both genders thousands of times.” Interesting, eh?
The track has come straight off of their second full-length album, ‘Beg Upon the Light’, recorded at Orgin Sound in Houston, and released via Occulture Records (2012).
Gregg Higgins (guitars, vocals) on recording the video: “The whole experience is a little silly sometimes—sitting in a room trying to rock out to the music with people just looking at you. I guess it’s gotta be like shooting a porno. Not that I know, I’ve just seen Boogie Nights.”
Classic in sound, with a little sinister twist, Venomous Maximus leave a distinctly dark taste in your mouth that keeps their listeners coming back for another round, and enticing their way to the top as one of Houston’s most successful acts of recent years. The group has proudly shared the stage with giants such as Pentagram, Saint Vitus, Mastodon, The Sword and Graveyard, and can be expected to see new material and touring in the cards very soon.
