STAMPIN’ GROUND AND MORE ADDED TO DAMNATION FESTIVAL

damnation2Reformed hardcore mob Stampin’ Ground, Black Moth, Aeon and Obsidian Kingdom have all been added to Damnation Festival’s line-up.

Celebrating its tenth anniversary when it takes place on November 1 in Leeds, these recent additions join the already announced Bolt Thrower (in a UK exclusive), Cannibal Corpse, Saint Vitus and a whole host of other quality acts.

Stampin’ Ground last played the festival in 2006 in one of their last shows before breaking up (albeit clearly not for good).

Speaking about that show and what they’ve got in store this year, frontman Adam Frakes-Sime said: “The penultimate Stampin’Ground show eight years ago was at Damnation ‘06 and it still stands as one of the craziest shows we’ve played. We can’t promise we’ll break the stage again this year but I can promise plenty of good friendly, violent fun!”

Local doom boys Black Moth, Spanish prog-metal troop Obsidian Kingdom and Swedish death metallers Aeon have also been added, perfectly demonstrating the festival’s diverse array of bands (both in terms of genre and nationalities).

Damnation Festival takes place on November 1 at Leeds University Union. Tickets cost £36 and are available here.
