Orthodox, hailing from Seville in southern Spain, have a misleading name – they are anything but orthodox, as they have shown repeatedly throughout their career. From the earth-shattering doom of their debut album Gran Poder to their jazzy, free-form latter records, they have defied listener expectations and as a result, are one of the most intriguing bands to come from their part of the world.
Axis, the band’s first album since 2011, will be released on Alone Records. Track listing is below. Listen to “Crown for a Mole”, the second song off the album, here.
