Baltic folk heroes Skyforger featured recently in BBC News special on Latvia’s love of folk music. Focusing on the country’s 20th anniversary of independence from Soviet Russia, the mini-documentary features an interview with the band and excerpts of a live performance.
New album Kurbads was self-produced at Latvian studio Lauska and released via Metal Blade last month. A North American release is scheduled for 11 May.
