Poland’s death/thrash metal unit SARATAN have finished working on their third full-length album. Slated for an Autumn release, “Martya Xwar (pronounced “Martya Hwar”, meaning “cannibal”) will feature 40 minutes of death/thrash metal with Orient flavoured instrumentations, vocals and orchestrations. The album was recorded over the course of five months in five different recording studios and mixed and mastered by V. Santura, guitarist from Tryptikon. Cover artwork was designed by Michał “Xaay” Loranc (Nile, Kamelot).
The band’s drummer Michal Stefanski told ZT he’s really excited about the whole recording process: “We decided to put tracks of live drums without triggers. It was hard, but very profitable work. Jarek did a great job with vocs and samples as well. Everything is melodic, dynamic, powerful and atmospheric”.
Jarek Niemiec (vocal, bass) added: „We’ve focused on details – we were recording it for more than five months, so every note is at the right moment. It was quite exhausting recording session, but I’m sure that months in several studios were all worth it!”
No release date and record label for the album have been announced yet. More info should be made available soon.
