In case you missed it earlier this week, those loveable beer-swilling rogues in Orange Goblin have announced they will be setting off on a UK Tour, starting January and heading into February next year. The band also plans to confirm dates for a tour of the US sometime in the near future. ZT caught up with gravel-throated vocalist Ben Ward, who had this to say about the band’s upcoming live antics:

“This tour is going to be very exciting for us. We have toured the UK more times than we can remember but this is going to be the first one we have done as a full time band in our 18 year existence, so it’s going to be weird not having to go back to work at the end of it! We’ve purposely tried to cover as much of the UK as the time frame allows us and we can’t wait to see the Goblin Army out in full force. This year has been great for us since ‘A Eulogy for the Damned’ came out and we have definitely noticed a step up in the response so we hope that this continues with the tour. We love playing all over the world but it’s here in the UK that we have always had the best reception, we have a very loyal fan-base and we just want to see that expand further. So, go and buy your ticket and come down for an evening of heavy drinking and heavy metal!!!”
