Florida filth merchants Six Feet Under are working on their latest, currently-untitled full-length.

The band have demoed 26 songs, “14 or 15” of which will make the final cut.

Vocalist Chris Barnes commented: “The music is gonna be, really, kind of an accelerated version of what we were doing before — faster-paced, more interesting time signatures as well as really wild choruses and some heavy vocals. I think people are really gonna be interested in this album. It’s something different, but it’s something the same. The feel of it is Six Feet Under, but we’ve pushed it and added some horsepower”.

The guttural god discussed Six Feet Under’s latest goblet of gore in a recent interview, stating: “It’s the best album I’ve written in a long time. So, I’m really excited about it. Yeah, [new guitarist] Rob Arnold is writing some songs, got Ben from Whitechapel writing some songs. I’ve got Jari from Torture Killer writing some songs and Steve [lead guitarist]. So we’re really happy with it. It’s really good stuff”.

The album is due to be released in early 2012 via Metal Blade.
