MEMORIAM’S FRANK HEALY AND KARL WILLETS SIT DOWN TOGETHER AND BREAK THE SILENT VIGIL IN THIS EXCLUSIVE TRAILER

With their impressive death metal credentials, Memoriam’s bassist Frank Healy and vocalist Karl Willets sat down to discuss which musicians they’d most like to work with – which is ironic really as we’re pretty sure both these artists would feature in many a ‘dream team’ themselves.

We’ve joined forces with Nuclear Blast to give you the chance to watch this conversation in an exclusive trailer, which you can watch below.

If you’ve read our current edition, you’ll already know that the band’s latest release The Silent Vigil is out now via Nuclear Blast, and the band are pretty pleased with their second effort, as the singer revealed during the interview in ZT issue 083: “… in some respects, that we weren’t too satisfied with the final sound of the debut. The songs were there, and we love them to this day, but production-wise, it was all done in a digital setting, and it left the finished product sounding more compressed and clean than the songs were written to be. It’s death metal, yes, but it still has to breathe! For The Silent Vigil, we went to Rich Bitch, a studio in Birmingham where Bolt Thrower used to record our demos. Of course, the studio has newer equipment, but the same people run it as did back then, so it was great to be able to use real amps with knobs this time.”
