MEMBERS OF SHINING, TAAKE AND HELHEIM TO APPEAR ON ALFAHANNE DEBUT

The debut album from Swedish crossover outfit Alfahanne is set to feature a trio of special appearances from the Scandinavian black metal community.

Set for release in February, the band, who formed back in 2010, features ex-members of Vinterland and Maze Of Torment. They released their first slice of music in early 2013 as part of a split 7” with Shining via Svart Records, but later signed with Dark Essence Records in August 2013.

It’s of little surprise then that Shining mainman Niklas Kvarforth appears on the first track ‘Bättre Dar’, as well as Helheim’s V’gandr and Taake’s Hoest, who provide vocals on two other tracks. Called Alfapokalyps, the band play what they describe as ‘exclusively alfapocalyptic rock’ (essentially a mix of classic rock, black metal and punk with a slight gothic tinge).

Having enlisted the help of such well-established names and based on their previous track ‘Dödsmaskinen’, which also featured vocals from Niklas Kvarforth, Alfapokalyps promises to be an intriguing listen.

Alfahanne have also recently been added to Oslo’s Inferno Festival line-up, appearing at the Dark Essence Records Club Night on April 16.
