Katatonia, Sweden’s chief purveyors of sonic despair will be hitting European shores in November this year with the support of acclaimed metalgazers Junius, described by Rolling Stone as a “perfect hybrid of Neurosis and the Smiths”. The band (Junius) will be out on the road with the Swedish giants and French shoegaze/ post-metallers Alcest in support of their Prosthetic Records debut, ‘Reports From The Threshold of Death’. Issuing the following statement as a collective, the group commented:
“We’re honored to join Katatonia across Europe and to tour with our friends in Alcest once again — it’s going to be epic to say the least. In the meantime, we’re working on some new music and gearing up for a busy fall and winter.”
