Judas Priest have teamed up with ASG guitar company to produce a custom model. British Steel pre-sale starts on 17 June 2014.
British Steel guitars will be limited to 30 pieces, each finished by master craftsmen in the ASG Fullerton shop and shipped with a certificate of authenticity. The people at ASG describe their newest offering further: “Rosław Szaybo’s distinctive razorblade-in-hand cover art bursts off the hand-carved mahogany top, complimenting the single cutaway guitar’s solid mahogany body, rosewood fingerboard, Mother-of-Pearl trapezoid inlays, Gravedigger headstock, custom ASG Arsenal pickups and chrome ASG headstock emblem.”
The model was made to represent the sound Judas Priest captured with their classic album British Steel, whereas the body of the guitar is painted with the album’s iconic cover.
“This one-of-a-kind axe is bound throughout and is perfect for any metal fan whether it will be displayed on the wall or shredded on the stage. Only a limited amount of these sharp, custom Judas Priest guitars by ASG will ever be made, and they’re sure to sell out fast.” ASG people conclude. Pre-order it here.
British Steel was released in 1980 and is one of those albums that still define the scene. Judas Priest’s new album, Redeemer Of Souls is out on 8 July 2014 in the US and 14 July 2014 in the UK
