HEAVY METAL MOVIES: NEW BOOK FROM BAZILLION POINTS

New York based publishing company Bazillion Points, dubbed as America’s “smallest but heaviest publisher”, are set to release a brand new book focusing on two of the finest things known to mankind: heavy metal and the flicks!

.

As its title suggests, Heavy Metal Movies bridges the gap between these two disciplines, which have had a strong and twisted relationship ever since the infancy of this type of music (a notable example being Black Sabbath taking their moniker from an Italian horror of the same name). The publishers describe the item as “positively the most horrifying book ever written! Lavishly illustrated and featuring more than 666 of the most metallic movie moments of all time. The ultimate guidebook to the complete molten musical cinema experience”.

.

Author, Mike “McBeardo” McPadden, covers much ground with over a whopping 1300 films featured within its pages. These range in topic, from metal documentaries (Heavy Metal Parking Lot, The Decline and Fall Of Western Civilisation 2, etc.), to metal themed movies (This Is Spinal Tap, Trick Or Treat, etc.) to splatter platters such as Maniac, satanic shockers like The Exorcist and also cerebral mind-benders a la David Lynch’s Eraserhead. Full colour film posters and classic photos are also contained throughout, which are sure to add real aesthetic value to this release.

.

Having previously published volumes, such as Daniel Ekeroth’s Swedish Death Metal book, Metalion: The Slayer Mag Diaries by Jon Kristiansen and Tom Gabriel Fischer’s Only Death is Real, Bazillion Points are no stranger to the extreme world of metal (check here for their ghastly collection).

.

The new book, which comes in at a healthy 576 pages, can be pre-ordered from the following link (with orders likely to be sent out in May 2014).
