Their first release since 2005’s WW album, Gehenna‘s latest studio album for Indie Recordings following their 8 year hiatus is available now.
For those of you who remember 1995’s Seen Through The Veils Of Darkness (The Second Spell), you’re getting old… In all seriousness, the return of Gehenna with new album Unravel is a welcome one. Produced by the band, the record “carries the spirit from WW and twists it to confront a more post-apocalyptic era – rather than the ragnarok of the bourgeoise, the individual, and the failings of western society – Gehenna faces 21st century existence head on. There is no remorse, no compromise – there is only perfect hate.”
One wonders whether that perfect hate stretches to music journalists too given the particularly difficult time we had in securing an interview for issue 055! We like to have the last word at ZT, so after a bit of perseverance, the interview was completed and you’ll be able to read it in issue 056, onsale 12-12-13.
For the meantime, here’s the tracklisting for Unravel, and you can grab a listen here.
