Napalm Death’s seminal album ‘Scum’, will be getting the remastering treatment (with Full Dynamic Range) in honour of its 25th anniversary. The whole recording has been remastered from the original tapes so it can deliver the full account of its Rottweiler in a bear trap brand of viciousness, the way it was intended to be heard. Judging from the mastering images coming from Earache it looks like the 25 year old ‘Scum’ will sound better than ever!
In a short but sweet statement to Earache records, founding Napalm Death member and drummer Mick Harris had this to say about the bands iconic release, as it reaches the quarter of a century mark, “It sounds wicked – that record still holds up today and I’m proud I was part of it.”
The new improved ‘Scum’ will be released on March 5th and will be available in a digipak format with some particularly cool bonuses (including the entire album in its rough mix form) as well as limited edition coloured vinyl for all the serious collectors out there.
