A reissue of Death’s final album, ‘The Sound Of Perseverance,’ is to be released on Feb 21st on Relapse Records.
The remastered album release will include a bonus disc of previously unreleased demo material, and comes with enhanced artwork (see left), exclusive photographs, and liner notes from cover artist Travis Smith and guitarist Shannon Hamm.
The album is the first in a series of Death reissues scheduled for 2011, with a Chuck Schuldiner biography also in the works. Schuldiner passed away on December 13, 2001 at age 34 after a battle with pontine glioma, a rare type of brain tumor.
