2013’s shoegaze/black metal posterboys, Deafheaven have announced a debut tour to Australia in January next year.
The year’s most talked-about ‘are-they-even-really-black-metal’ band will start their tour in Brisbane on January 8 before gigs in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth the following nights.
The band’s sophomore album Sunbather has received overwhelmingly positive reviews since its release in June, and currently holds a score of 92/100 on review aggregator Metacritic.
The album is the follow-up to 2010’s well-received Roads to Judah, which was also released on Jacob Bannon’s Deathwish Inc. label.
