Less than four weeks until new Swedish crossover act Alfahanne release their debut album and the first slice of music from Alfapokalyps is now available online.
‘Såld På Mörkret’, meaning ‘sold in darkness’ and featuring Hoest from Taake, can be heard over on the Dark Essence Records’ Soundcloud page here, or at the bottom of this page. The song, like most of the album, blends elements of black metal, classic rock and punk with some gothic overtones.
Alfahanne features ex-Vinterland and Maze of Torment member Pehr Skioldhammer on Vocals and Guitar, Fredrik Sööberg on Guitars, Niklas Åström on Drums and Jimmy Wiberg on Bass. ‘Alfapokalyps’ will be only the band’s second recorded material since forming back in 2010, after their split Grym 7” with Shining last year.
Alfapokalyps was mastered by Tore Stjerna (Corpus Christii, Funeral Mist) at his own Necromorbus Studio in Stockholm. It also features guest appearances from Shining’s Niklas Kvarforth and Helheim’s V’gandr, so if it’s got their seal of approval it should definitely be worth checking out.
The band also just been announced to play at Oslo’s legendary Inferno Festival, appearing on the 16th of April at the Dark Essence Records Club Night and then at the Tons of Rock Festival in Halden, Norway alongside Sabaton, Sepultura and Soilwork in June.
Alfapokalyps, comes out on February 10 in both CD and vinyl versions, and is available to pre-order online here.
