Monarch!, Fen, Falloch and more have been added to the bill of this year’s Damnation Festival which takes place on November 1 at Leeds University Union.
It will be French drone/doom outfit Monarch’s only UK show of 2014 as their announcement finalises the PHD Stage line-up, where they join the already announced Ahab, Solstafir, Black Moth, H A R K, Atlantis and Corrupt Moral Altar.
Meanwhile Fen, Falloch, A Forest Of Stars, Wodensthrone and <code> have also been unveiled as appearing on the returning Eyesore Merch stage alongside Bast and Obsidian Kingdom. Finally Xerath and Amputated have been revealed as sharing the Terrorizer stage with Aeon, Winterfylleth, Revocation, Anaal Nathrakh and Cannibal Corpse.
Then the main Jagermeister Stage plays host to the already announced October File, Stampin’ Ground, Raging Speedhorn, Orange Goblin, Saint Vitus (playing Born Too Late in full) and Bolt Thrower in their only UK performance of the year.
Speaking about their announcement Fen said: “We are honoured to be invited to play Damnation after our first appearance four years ago. It was one of the highlight gigs of our career – this festival (and the audience in particular) – is a very special one for us and we cannot wait to head back to take to the stage again.
“Fen has progressed significantly over the last four years and we are really looking forward to taking the discerning Damnation crowd by storm once more!”
Anyone arriving early or based nearby can catch the Damnation warm-up gig A Night Of Salvation, featuring Dyscarnate, Hang The Bastard, Latitudes, The Atrocity Exhibit and Cattle which takes place at The Belgrave Music Hall on Friday October 31. Tickets are £6 and available on the door.
