Japan’s death/doom metal masters Coffins have begun recording their new album. . The terrors of Tokyo have once again entered their local Noise Room Studio to work on ‘The Fleshland’, their fourth full-length. . A pre-production demo of the track “Colossal Hole”, which will appear on ‘The Fleshland’ in its finished state, can be heard HERE . The band is currently in the midst of recording vocals, with the album scheduled to be completed at the end of January and released via Relapse Records later on in the year. . ‘The Fleshland’ will be the first new LP from the band since their acclaimed ‘Buried Death’ album, released in 2008, and will be Coffins’ first official release for Relapse Records. . Artwork is being handled by death and black metal’s illest illustrator, Chris Moyen. . Coffins will embark on an open-air festival tour in summer 2013, desecrating the stage of Germany’s Party San festival first.
