CANNIBAL CORPSE TO ENTER STUDIO IN FEBRUARY

Cannibal Corpse will be entering the studio in February to record their new full-length opus (title tba) with the release tentatively scheduled for mid to late 2014.

The Floridian death metal goliaths, who recently celebrated their 25th anniversary as a band, have also announced that Mark Lewis (Deicide, Six Feet Under) will be handling production duties on the new album. Speaking to Bravewords, bassist Alex Webster had this to say:

“What I can say is, that in February and March and then into early April, we will be recording. We are going to go into Audio Hammer Studios (in Sanford, Florida) and have Mark Lewis produce us. We really like a lot of stuff he’s done. We did three great records with my good friend Erik Rutan, he’s one of the best. We felt like, ‘Man, we’ve done three awesome records with him, let’s try doing something different.’ Not because we are displeased with what he’s done — he did a fantastic job — but we just felt like mixing it up. We’ve been working with Erik since 2005. We thought, ‘That’s a good eight years, let’s give Mark a try for a little while and see how that goes.’ He’s killer.”

Thanks for dropping in!
