In 1987 NWOBHM/speed warriors Atomkraft released their last EP of new material in the shape of the ‘Conductors of Noize’ EP. It was that very same year they last performed in the U.K as well. Now this is all about to change on the 29th of August, which will see the release of a brand new EP entitled ‘Cold Sweat’ and the band’s return to the London stage.

Atomkraft are set to support US power metallers Helstar at the Purple Turtle, support coming from Deceptor and Hybris.

Whilst the title-track is a cover of a Thin Lizzie song, the tracklisting’s as follows:

1.  Intro
2.  Cold Sweat (Thin Lizzy-cover)
3.  Dead Again
4.  The Darkening
5.  Gripped
6.  Cold Sweat (Video)

Thin Lizzy’s Scott Gorham had this to say:  “I actually really liked this version of ‘Cold Sweat’ a lot. Cool solo also. I also liked the way Atomkraft made the song their own with the arrangement and production. Very cool”.

Thanks for dropping in!
