Four years have passed since Tampa black/death metallers Acheron released ‘The Final Conflict: Last Days of God.’  In that time the band broke up, reformed and have since been conspicuously dark with regard to new material.  However, founding member and creative force Vincent Crowley (vocals/bass) has announced that the band entered the Bad Back Studio in Cleveland, Ohio earlier this year to begin tracking ‘Kult Des Hasses’, their new album.

Promising purer, old-school, raw recordings – in the vein of Celtic Frost and Slayer – Acheron are making it clear that they are determined to stay away from the over-produced sound of some new black metal bands; all of this while keeping the album “memorable and catchy”.

Speaking on the album, Crowley says that he has “no doubt that our fans both old and new will enjoy this upcoming musical assault … this is one of the catchiest Acheron albums ever.”

The CD has been slated for a November 2013 release through Listenable Records.  There is no word of a European tour to accompany it.
