Legendary NWOBHM outfit Diamond Head will re-issue their previous two albums on USB-stick.
In an exclusive statement to ZT drummer Karl Wilcox reveals:
“The idea came about for our US tour. The albums were never released in the US and as they are a few years old we thought let’s put them out as a double package. I had been discussing the USB idea for a while and looked into the idea and came up with the package we have. It’s a 2 gig stick with the Logo and Band name in a very nice Metal Box. Both ‘All Will Be Revealed’ and ‘What’s in Your Head?’ are on the USB drive along with artwork and a couple of re-recorded bonus tracks. It’s on our own label. Format is MP3 @ 160 kbps.
Two videos: ‘This Planet and Me’ and ‘Skin on Skin’ along with band and live photos.
It’s excellent value for money at $20.oo plus p&p. It’s available worldwide except for the UK and Europe due to contractual obligations for the moment. With most media now in some form of digital format. It’s another way for bands to put out product on their own label.
