Blackened death metallers Diabolical have unleashed their entire album ahead of tomorrow’s release Indie Recordings.
More than 20 years after their formation in northern Sweden, the innovative death/black metal hybrid has created Eclipse, a concept album which reflects on the dark side of humanity which, according to their press release, aims to ‘force the listener to explore his own diabolical side’.
The album is something of a tour de force with spitting musical and aesthetic complexity swirling around a dense soundscape of refined ideas, comprising nine gracefully raging songs, Eclipse presents Diabolical as a mature and sophisticated band on the rise to new heights. We’ve interviewed the band for the upcoming issue of your favourite extreme music magazine, and you should look out for that from February 26th when it hits newsstands. It’s not long now till the band hit European roads for a punishing run of shows in more than 30 cities across the Old Continent, alongside Septic Flesh, Krisiun and supports. The tour kicks-off in Essen on March 8, but the full list of dates are shown below (although there’s no UK date so far, which is a shame!).
