David Gold, guitarist/vocalist of blackened doom outfit Woods of Ypres, has died. The 31 year old was mortally wounded in an accident near Barrie, Ontario (Canada) yesterday (22nd of December ’11).The band is yet to issue a statement.
Woods of Ypres’ new album ‘Woods 5: Grey Skies & Electric Light’ is due on the 31st of January via Earache Records. The long-player was recorded with producer Siegfried Meier at Beach Road Studios in Ontario, and was mixed by John Fryer.
