UK warmongers SCYTHIAN have released a split 7″ with the legendary KAWIR (Gre) via Nuclear Winter Records. In this epic collaboration, both bands present two of their newest tracks, “Grunwald” and “Titanomachia” in what promises to be a musical clash of the titans.
Sonically recreating the most savage battle in history, Scythian’s “Grunwald (Anno Satanae 1410)” pays homage to the ghosts of war, pulverising listeners with their trademark, progressive style in the vein of Bathory, Sodom and Morbid Angel. “Grunwald” is the first track to be unveiled from Scythian’s sophomore release, which is currently in the works.
Widely revered as pioneers of the Greek black metal scene, Kawir take one more step up Mount Olympus with “Titanomachia” (War of the Gods), their fastest track to date. Steeped in ancient, pagan majesty, Kawir prove as ever, that they are favoured by the gods with this blistering track and a brand new lineup.
