Receive, the debut mini-LP from Ted Skjellum’s (aka Nocturno Culto of Darkthrone fame) Gift Of Gods is set for vinyl and CD release on October 28th via Peaceville Records.
For his latest project, which he has reportedly worked on as a ‘labour of love’ for several years, Nocturno turns his hand to pure heavy metal. A vast array of influences from decades past have found their way into his 30-minute heavy metal pilgrimage, alongside a rendition of ’Looking For An Answer’, originally by obscure Swedish 80’s band Universe.
Nocturno performs all instruments himself and is also responsible for recording the mini-album at his own studio. Receive was mixed and mastered by Jack Control at Enormous Door, who also worked on Darkthrone’s ‘The Underground Resistance’.
