NEW GHOST ALBUM ON THE HORIZON

GhostSwedish occult rockers Ghost have finished work on their new album. The follow-up to 2013’s Infestissumam is titled Meliora and is set to hit the shelves on 21 August 2015.

Ghost (or Ghost B.C. for some) were formed in 2008. Their ranks have always consisted of Nameless Ghoul (lead guitar), Nameless Ghoul (rhythm guitar), Nameless Ghoul (bass), Nameless Ghoul (drums) and Nameless Ghoul (keyboards). Following the demise of Papa Emeritus II (and that of Papa Emeritus I before him), Meliora is the first album by Ghost to feature Papa Emeritus III in the role of the Devil’s preacher and rock singer.

Rather interestingly, Papa Emeritus III is reported to be Papa Emeritus II’s three-month younger brother. Moreover, Ghost will enter the studio again in the summer to record more cover songs (the names of god Leonard Cohen and the ’80s Swedish band Imperiet have been revealed) for their follow-up to their 2013 covers-EP If You Have Ghost.

Meliora means “better” in Latin.
