Evangelist, Poland’s very own faithful soldiers of doom, are currently finalising the songwriting for their (yet untitled) second album.
In an exclusive statement for ZT, the band reveal that they won’t just be rehashing the same old (referring to their debut effort 2011’s ‘In Partibus Infidelium’): “New sermons are definitely bleaker, rawer and heavier. Lyrically we are heading into more spiritual and religious areas, while musically we are embracing more extreme tools of the preaching. Most probably we will record six songs, five of which will end on the album. Recording session will happen in the first half of 2012 in Jolly Roger Studio, where we did part of the recordings and mixed/mastered “In Partibus Infidelium”. Recording line – up will probably be the same. As usual, more news in due time. Militis Fidelis Fatum!”
Evangelist’s debut album was released earlier this year via Austria’s PsycheDOOMelic Records.
