Enslaved reveal new album title…

The title for the new album by Norway’s critically acclaimed Enslaved has been announced on the band’s MySpace page. That’s right folks, the reasonably hard to pronounce Axioma Ethica Odini will see the light of day on 27 September via Indie Recordings. This, the staggering eleventh studio album for the band – which we’re told has absolutely nothing to do with fish, whatsoever – was recorded at not one, not two but… wait for it… three studios in Norway’s Bergen, two of which are owned by members of the band. We’ve also sought assurance in this event that the word “studio” is definitely not a pseudonym for “bedroom”.

The album has been treated to the audio skills of the Duper studio; Earshot studio, owned by Enslaved’s Herbrand Larsen [keyboardist/backing vocalist] and Ice Dale [lead guitarist]); and Peersonal Sound, owned by rhythm guitarist/songwriter Ivar Bjørnson.

A new Enslaved release has become something of a media frenzy and these media-darlings are no strangers to notching up impressive reviews and accolades with each new release. We’re looking forward to wrapping our ears around Axioma Ethica Odini to provide you with our honest opinion of their latest efforts in our Sept/Oct edition. Oooh, the anticipation!
