“What’s up UK! On August 11th 2017, we are invading Bloodstock! It’s going to be a fucking awesome party, with immense bloodshed and you better be there!” shouts Johan Hegg as announcements start rolling in about Amon Amarth’s role in 2017’s Bloodstock Festival installment.
Amon Amarth aren’t the only band to be announced; Blind Guardian are also confirmed with an exclusive 2017 show, along with Testament – who will return to the stage again following a killer 2012 appearance – Hatebreed (who also appeared in 2012 – is there a pattern forming here?), Whitechapel, Possessed (hurray!) and Hell. So, it’s safe to say that the coming months will see a wave of announcements as the wait for August shortens…
Should be pretty interesting to see which other bands make it along; will Emperor return to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk? That would be nice! Lots of suggestions are already being made by fans on the festival forum which can be found by pointing your mouse right about here. Go and add your thoughts!
