In an exclusive statement to ZT, main-man Greg Chandler comments:
“Paragon of Dissonance was recorded in May and mixed in June 2011. The song writing for the album was a combined effort from myself, Jim Nolan and Gordon Bicknell. The songs were written and then experimented with and rehearsed over the following months leading up the album recording. With this album we decided to compose and produce the music so that the key elements of the songs could be more audible in the final mixes and to give the music more of a sense of space. The music on the album is more varied than anything we’ve done before, with a greater range and contrast of melody, styles of songwriting, emotions and soundscapes. Still maintaining the Esoteric essence throughout, but with even more diversity between each song. We feel it contains some of our strongest material to date.”
