SAINT VITUS CELEBRATORY 35-YEAR ANNIVERSARY TOUR

Saint Vitus have announced a European tour for the fall of 2014. Their 35th anniversary tour will see them roaming across Europe, playing their classic album Born Too Late in its entirety.

35 years after their formation, the classic Saint Vitus lineup (albeit with Henry Vasquez replacing original drummer Armando Acosta) are celebrating their doomed existence with a series of shows across Europe in October and November. Support act for this tour will provided by London’s Orange Goblin. In these shows, Saint Vitus will be playing their classic album Born Too Late in its entirety “ alongside other renowned Vitus hymns” as we are informed.

Saint Vitus were founded in 1979 as Tyrant with Scott Reagers (vocals), Dave Chandler (guitar), Mark Adams (bass), and Armando Acosta (drums), but soon changed their name to Saint Vitus after the song “St. Vitus’ Dance” by Black Sabbath.

Wino Weinrich entered the band in 1986 and together, replacing Scott Reagers as vocalist. Saint Vitus released three albums with Wino and that came to be known as Saint Vitus’ classic line-up.

The European tour includes five dates on British soil:

28/10/2014- Bristol

29/10/2014- London

30/10/2014- Dubin

31/10/2014- Belfast

1/11/2014- Leeds

Tickets go on sale on 7 May 2014.
