WATCH LLNN’S STUNNING NEW ‘APPEASER’ VIDEO NOW VIA ZTMAG.COM!

We’ve joined forces with Pelagic Records to premiere a stunning new video from LLNN. Hailing from Copenhagen, LLNN burst onto the international scene with 2016’s critically acclaimed debut album Loss. After a split EP with LA’s Wovoka in the summer of 2017, they’re returning with their second album, Deads at the end of April.  The band comment on their latest effort: “We are fascinated by how the human mind tends to interpret random images, or patterns of light and shadows, as creatures and structures; a psychological phenomenon called ‘Pareidolia’. And how music and visuals can evoke certain...

With their impressive death metal credentials, Memoriam’s bassist Frank Healy and vocalist Karl Willets sat down to discuss which musicians they’d most like to work with – which is ironic really as we’re pretty sure both these artists would feature in many a ‘dream team’ themselves. We’ve joined forces with Nuclear Blast to give you the chance to watch this conversation in an exclusive trailer, which you can watch below.   If you’ve read our current edition, you’ll already know that the band’s latest release The Silent Vigil is out now via Nuclear Blast, and the band are pretty...

THY ANTICHRIST SHARE THEIR ‘NIGHTMARES’

We’ve joined forces with Napalm Records to premiere Thy Antichrist’s lyric video for their new track ‘Nightmares’. The US-based black metallers have been busy collecting fans around the world since 1998, and, according to the label, they’re hungry to escape the clutches of the underground. Their appearance at the 2015 edition of the 70.000 Tons Of Metal cruise helped them along that path, and they’re hoping that their forthcoming release will push them further still. Taking influences from a myriad of metal genres – from thrash, heavy metal, death metal and of course black metal – the band are...

We are the Ruins.” If you scroll down to the end of this post, we’ve also shared the first two video singles: the beautiful ‘Stolen Years’ and the dark ‘To Hell Or The Hangman’. Exile Amongst The...

ZT INTERROGATION: GRIMNER PREPARE TO DO BATTLE IN THE UK

Swedish folk metal outfit Grimner are celebrating their tenth anniversary with the release of album number three and their first ever UK tour in March. Graham Matthews fired a few questions over to chief flute player Johan Rydberg. Looking like they stepped off the set of Vikings, Sweden’s Grimner can be judged fairly accurately from appearance alone. Mixing traditional Nordic folk with the speed and aggression of heavy metal with lyrics (now in Swedish) covering folklore, Norse mythology and more, they fall nicely in with their contemporaries in Turisas, Korpiklaani and others. It’s a formula that’s worked though and here they are,...
