DESOLATION ANGELS SEEK NEW SINGER

Reunited NWOBHM legends Desolation Angels are looking for a new singer to replace the recently departed Ian “Curly” Davies. Along with the included photoshopped group photo, the band posted the following comment:

“To all that view this photo – Please understand that we are a humorous bunch. And we are sure that you understand the humor here within?! Rock on to all – and please do spread the word that Desolation Angels are now looking for the God sent rocker of all rockers. The new front man from Hell to take over from what was once was.”

Frontman Davies’ departure adds to a growing number of line-up changes in the DA camp, with bassist Neil Craddock having left the band, soon to be replaced by a old school looking fellow named Clive Pearson (digitally inserted far left into the band pic).

Desolation Angels posted the following official statement regarding the roster alternation:

“Clive replaces Neil who for reasons of his own decided to call it a day, sad but true . . . Neil however (and thankfully too) did stay on to finish all his commitments with us and then finally bowed out after our Hammer Of Doom festival appearance last year in Germany.

“All though it came as a shock to us when Neil announced his withdrawal from DA, Clive comes to us as an ample replacement, a real gem of a find in fact. Neil will be missed, wit, humor and of course colossal backline rig! Cheers to you mate and all the best to you and your Rock n Roll quest.”

The band can be reached through their website desolationangels.co.uk

None of the leaving musicians were forming members of the band, and so the two founding axemen, Keith Sharp and Robin Brancher, still run the show.
